So, it is official, after months of holding your breath and dreaming heartfelt dreams, he has finally proposed.  You are engaged!   Now, it is very important that every step you take from this point on be organized and well planned in order to insure that you get the wedding of your dreams.  The best laid plans are done through detailed organization and preparation; your wedding planner will be your security and sanity in the months ahead.

The Commercial Wedding Planner Is an Option When Planning Your Wedding

As you begin to plan for your marriage ceremony and reception, you will need to purchase or create your own wedding planner.  This notebook is a great way to maintain organization, keep track of all your contracts, ideas, and arrangements and maintain the sanity level when things seem to spin out of control.

There are many different commercially created wedding planners that are available in national book chains all across the country.  These beautifully arranged books provide checklists, photographs, timelines and questionnaires for the various vendors you will encounter during your planning sessions.

While these books are beautiful to look through and provide many quality resources, if your budget is tight, you would be better to save the fifty dollars that you would pay on the book and create one of your own.

Creating Your Own Wedding Planner Is Inexpensive and Easy To Do

A wedding planner is very easy to create if you have a three ring binder and some page dividers.  Even if you don’t have these items, you can pick them up for very little money at the local department or discount store.  Once you have the basic supplies, a visit to your public library can provide you with all the checklists, timelines, vendor suggestions and ideas to include in your planner.

Once You Have Created Your Wedding Planner, It Will Become Your Constant Companion

When you begin planning your wedding, make sure that each time you make a phone call, discover a key idea, find a photo you want to add to your repertoire of ideas or sign a contract, you will want to include it within your planner.  This wedding planner should be with you at all times, a constant resource and reference as you move from planning to the actual ceremony and reception.  Don’t be surprised if you decide to save this wonderful memoir of all your hard work and preparations, long after the day of your celebration.

Wedding Photography Captures Your Special Wedding Moments

Our lives are filled with moments of extreme joy, moments that we make every effort to capture on film so that those precious times are not lost.  Wedding photography is an heirloom from the moment the photographer takes the first picture.  These are the photos you will share with your family, your nieces and nephews and your own children.  The pictures taken at your wedding will show you and your spouse at the height of your dreams, your love and your future.

Wedding photography is one of the most important services within photography that you will ever encounter in your lifetime.  If you do not take the time to hire a respectable and honored photographer, you will always regret your choice.  This is not something you have done over, once the day is gone, it will never be the same day again.  Make sure that you hire a photographer that will preserve all the special and unique aspects of your wedding day for you to enjoy in the many years of happy marriage ahead of you.

Important Decisions When Discussing Wedding Photography

Every bride and groom has to make a very important decision about their wedding photography; to take the photos before or after the ceremony.  While this may seem an easy decision on the one side, it isn’t always as simple as it may first appear.  Many brides simply do not want the groom to see them prior to their entrance into the chapel.  For these brides, many wedding photographers will take all the group photos of the bride’s maids and parents and then empty the room and have the grooms party and family enter for photos.  This is time consuming but is done out of respect for the bride’s wishes on her wedding day.

Another idea is to allow the bride and groom to have a few moments alone in the chapel prior to the wedding and without any other members of the wedding party or family in the room, only the photographers.  In this way, the groom is stood with his back to the doorway where the bride will enter.  She enters quietly and walks up to the groom, tapping him lightly on the shoulder, the wedding photographer captures the grooms face the moment he turns to the bride and gathers a few candid shots without interrupting them.  He then quietly leaves to allow the bride and groom a few moments alone before the entire group enters the chapel for the family and wedding party photos.

If you are a bride that is not concerned with superstitions and traditions, is often very easy to get the wedding photographer to take the entire group of wedding photos prior to the service.  This is the easiest and fastest way to get quality pictures without wilted flowers, guests interrupting the photo session and without the wedding party anxiously trying to get the photos done so that they can get on to the reception.

What About The Wedding Night?

   Subscribe To Our Feed

Your wedding night should be a night to remember.  Yet, with so many details to consider and follow through on, this is almost an impossible task!  From the cake, to the flowers, to the music, to the location—all of these things play a huge role in the success of your wedding night.  Whether you buckle down and get organized, or hire professional help, your wedding night is something you will remember for the rest of your life.

Decisions And Deadlines

Part of the planning process is making all of the necessary decisions about your wedding night.  Will you have chocolate cake or vanilla?  Will you have roses or daisies?  While these decisions might seem small and insignificant, they all add up to the overall ambiance of the evening.

It is also important to keep track of all the wedding deadlines.  Many decisions, such as the venue, the DJ, and the invitation-ordering, need to be made by a certain date prior to your wedding.  If you don’t make a decision by the required deadline, then that aspect of your wedding night could be ruined.

To avoid the confusion and chaos that does along with these decisions and deadlines, it is important to use your resources.  Make a list of all the decisions you have to make, or write them all down on a calendar.  These strategies will help to keep you organized for your wedding night.

Professional Planning

If the stress of planning your wedding night becomes too much for you, then there is another option to take into consideration.  Why not hire a professional wedding planner?  Planning a great wedding night is part of the job description of a professional wedding planner.  Working with one allows you to have input in your wedding, but also lets someone else take care of all the annoying little details!

Enjoy The Evening

Planning your wedding night is understandably hectic, but the event itself should not be!  After all those months of stress and deadlines, you should be able to relax and enjoy yourself on your wedding night.  To make sure this happens, do not worry about whether or not other people are having a good time.  Focus on yourself, your spouse, and your love.

For The Rest Of Your Lives Together

Whether you plan the whole wedding yourself, or hire a professional to do it, the night itself is sure to be one that you will cherish and look back on for the rest of your lives together.
